Let's continue our stroll through Colombia's crazy grasshoppers. Here's the leaf-mimicking Omura congrua. This photo shows the male, which is far smaller than the female, and also a lot less colorful. Full body view:

Interesting about the meaning of the word, "groot" in Dutch. I had no idea it meant "tall" and assumed it was a made-up word! Judging from your photos, groot is a nickname that Henriette could use for you... Posted 6 years ago
