Growing in grass and moss in a saturated area of a yard in a residential area.
Nonstaining. Gills attach to stem but are not decurrent. Stems are flimsy and split in two when handled. The caps of older specimens fade to a muddy pale pink color. No detectable odor. Largest pileal width: 2 to 2.5 cm. Pilei are slightly greasy.
Nearest trees are Green Ash (Fraxinus pennsylvanica) and Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua).
