Honey Mushrooms (Armillaria mellea)... maybe? These lovely mushrooms were growing out of a still alive Douglas Fir tree. The Armillaria mellea seem to be a very variable species so I am definitely open to other suggestions. They were a lovely find while walking in the forest.
