Coral Fungus - Clavulina sp. (Parasitized by Helminthosphaeria clavariarum)
It was a weird, clumping mushroom that was lavender near the base and cream-colored at the tips. Some pieces were more brownish. It looks like it was probably parasitized by Helminthosphaeria clavariarum (thanks morpheme!)
Habitat: Growing in a shady meadow that separates a mixed forest from a coniferous forest.

Helminthosphaeria is a genus of fungi in the family Helminthosphaeriaceae. Helminthosphaeria clavariarum infects Clavulina cristata.
Similar species: Sordariales
