Caddisfly - Order Trichoptera, Pycnopsyche sp.
Caddisflies are a very diverse group of insects! The larvae are exclusively aquatic, while the adults resemble moths except that they have hairy wings instead of scaly wings.
Habitat: Attracted to a light at night in a rural area. I didn't see any moths last night, but this caddisfly kept me company after I rescued it from a spider's web (the spider already had several meals wrapped up in its web). It stayed on my finger for several minutes before flying off.
