Leaf Katydid September 1st heralded the official beginning of spring...and on that day I found this gorgeous viridescent leaf katydid taking a stroll. Had it not moved, I would have missed it completely due to the colour and form.<br /> <br /> Adults, as seen here, resemble a leaf in shape, texture and colour. Adults, as seen here, resemble a leaf in shape, texture and colour. The mimicry is so impressive.
