Decorator crab Kareko batu, Lembeh.
I have tried to find a species name for this decorator crab but so far no success!
So as is a master of camouflage I think it could go very well onto that list. If it was not for our dive guide we would have never spotted it as it uses pieces of green algae to mimic floating algae on the floor and guess what ...it largely succeeds! 1. Such a puzzling image, I really don't know where to look for the beginning and end of the species :) Posted 7 years ago
    1. I can help on that: body is the rounded part in the left upper part and the rest are very long legs covered in leaves of green algae. I am guessing that it could be from Achaeus genus but is proving a toughy to ID. Posted 7 years ago
  2. Definitely a master of camouflage! Amazing :) Posted 7 years ago
