Clover Looper Moth - Caenurgina crassiuscula

Total length: ~20 mm. Forewings are variably brown with AM and PM lines that converge at the inner margin.

Habitat: Attracted to a light at night in a rural area.

Caenurgina crassiuscula or Caenurgina erechtea seem to be indistinguishable in some cases, but there is a greater likelihood of the former when either of those bands touch the inner margin of the forewing. Is that your understanding as well? Posted 7 years ago
