Hemistropharia albocrenulata Hemistropharia albocrenulata is the only species in the genus Hemistropharia. It closely resembles Pholiota sp., which I initially thought it was.<br />
<br />
 It had a beautiful, sticky, tan cap with darker scales and a shaggy margin. The stipe was also very shaggy. The gills leaked red liquid. <br />
<br />
 Habitat: Growing at the base of an eastern hemlock snag in a mixed, swampy forest. <br />
