White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) - Doe and Her Fawn
An intimate moment between a mother and child! In this photo, the fawn is nursing. So sweet! Unfortunately, I only had my macro lens with me during this hike, so the pictures were not as wonderful as I would have liked!
These two were out on a peninsula in a wetland in Gwinnett County, GA.

The white-tailed deer, also known commonly as the whitetail and the Virginia deer, is a medium-sized species of deer native to North America, Central America, and South America as far south as Peru and Bolivia, where it predominately inhabits high mountain terrains of the Andes.
