    1. At first I thought it was a skipper moth or something (I'm by no means an expert, not even close!) but they are very different to the above. I'm hoping one of the clever folk on here can assist :) Posted 7 years ago

        I went through a significant portion of it, but not all. It looks like a large moth so I was thinking Erebidae.

      2. I would look towards Tribe Arctiini (tiger moths). Looks like a worn individual, so you may have to use your imagination a bit?

  2. Looks a bit like Phragmatobia fuliginosa (the Ruby Tiger), but the underwing pattern is a bit off (unless this one is just really worn)? Posted 7 years ago, modified 7 years ago
    1. Heh, sounds lame to mention now but that was actually also one that I came across as somewhat as a match, but I was in doubt on the abdomen being much thicker. Posted 7 years ago
