Confused Ochlerotatus punctor, Heeswijk, Netherlands One of hundreds encountered on this hot day in the field, yet most would not sit still and pose. I'm not entirely sure what the furry object is. One of hundreds encountered on this hot day in the field, yet most would not sit still and pose. I'm not entirely sure what the furry object is. It does not look man-made, the only theory I got is the wing of a hairy moth that got stuck in the cog web. Check out the length of the legs in this pose.

    1. Thank you. Fun fact: my flash did not recycle in time so the result of this photo was almost pure black. This just shows the power of RAW: I could easily get back all details shown. Posted 7 years ago
