Golden Pheasant, Zie-Zoo, Netherlands This bird is so common in zoos, farms and other places of domestication that its appearance has been normalized, similar to the peacock. Lady Amherst's pheasant - full body, Zie-Zoo, Netherlands Too many fences in this zoo, I was not able to isolate a full body shot, but sharing it anyway to get a grasp of the full bird. <br /> <br /> This is not the "pure" species, quite likely it is the Lady Amherst's-golden cross, a hybrid with the Gold Pheasant. The Golden Pheasant

The Golden Pheasant or "Chinese Pheasant", is a gamebird of the order Galliformes and the family Phasianidae. It is native to forests in mountainous areas of western China but feral populations have been established in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
