Lady Amherst's pheasant - full body, Zie-Zoo, Netherlands Too many fences in this zoo, I was not able to isolate a full body shot, but sharing it anyway to get a grasp of the full bird.

This is not the "pure" species, quite likely it is the Lady Amherst's-golden cross, a hybrid with the Gold Pheasant. The way to tell is that the pure species' red patch begins at the back of the head, not at the base of the beak as seen here.
The Lady Amherst's Pheasant is a bird of the order Galliformes and the family Phasianidae. These are native to south western China and Myanmar, but have been introduced elsewhere, and have established a self-supporting, but now declining, feral population in England, the stronghold of which is now in Bedfordshire.
