King Stropharia - Stropharia rugosoannulata Deep reddish brown caps, purple-gray gills, and a white stem with a thick, cogwheeled ring. I usually find a dozen or more in this location in early June, but on this day, I only found three. They ranged in size from 3-9 cm tall.

Interestingly, Stropharia rugosoannulata is a nematophagous fungus, which means that it is able to trap and digest nematodes.
