      1. Hi Rui, I'm afraid I don't know these species well enough to be of more help - in fact, I'm not even sure it is Pachycerus - that's just an (un)educated(?) guess ;o) I'll ask a friend if he has a proper key or a better idea, but it'll have to wait until next week ...

When I came across curculionidae, well, it's very tough to get positive ID's just because they are virtually impossible to identify by photo, most of the times my "quick" ID's are based on other records and geographic distributions, and the list of curculionidae is... well... very big... but then again they are so fascinating that is almost impossible not to record them in photo.
