Fern I have no idea what kind of fern this is, but it was gorgeous. They were 3-4 feet tall and the fronds were fantastically curly. Unfortunately, I was surrounded by poison ivy and only had my macro lens, so could not get space for a zoomed out shot. I will definitely be returning to this location with a different lens!!<br />

Some ID suggestions that I have received so far are Woodwardia sp. or Nephrolepis biserrata, but neither seem to match right. Geotagged,Spring,United States, fern Click/tap to enlarge

  1. Intriguing find. I did about 15 mins of searching, including a 100+ directory of Connecticut ferns yet nothing even closely resembling this. Posted 7 years ago
    1. Thanks for checking. I have been searching too and have posted this to a fern group on FB. No real answer yet. I need to get a better shot and maybe a sample. Posted 7 years ago
