    Hi Stephen, excellent picture! :o)
    This is a Bruchinae (Chrysomelidae), I think the subfamily is commonly referred to as Bean Beetles or some such in English.
    To me it looks quite similar to Algarobius prosopis but I'm not knowledgeable concerning the fauna of the Americas.
