Anole lizards are pretty difficult to identify, yet in this case our local guide explained the process. He managed to capture a male and pulls its red dewlap, which is a key way to identify the species. The male and female were nearby so I'm sharing several shots:

Anolis tropidogaster, the Tropical Anole or Light Anole, is an Anoloid lizard that occurs in Panama, Western Venezuela and Colombia.
