  1. A daring picture with focus on the wings. Naturally one searches for the face to be sharp, here it is not the case. Logically with a macro dof. It was actually the background of this shot that drew my attention. Beautiful. Posted 12 years ago, modified 12 years ago
    1. This skimmer was enjoying the sun up in a tree, with it's head to the other side. It was impossible to walk around the tree, that's why I decided to emphasize the wings like a helicopter and the attachment of the wings to it's body. Posted 12 years ago
  2. Hi, are you sure this is an Libellulidae Orthetrum cancellatum? Looking at its wings i'm pretty sure that it is a Zygoptera damselfly (female for sure, Family Lestidae, my best guess) ... A nice angle of approach, but a difficult one for identification. Nice photo, cheers* Posted 9 years ago, modified 9 years ago
