    1. Yes it is, I had thought it was a worm or something similar but a friend who saw the picture said its not a worm but likely a larvae. The fern leaf its on, gives an idea how big/long it is. Posted 7 years ago
  2. My first guess was that it is some kind of leech but I couldn't find anything like it so I am not sure what it could be. There are also some strange black spots on the leaf around it. Posted 7 years ago
    1. There were lots of leeches on that trail, by the thousands, 2 species of them, Tiger Leech and another one that is only black/brown in colour. This one was the odd one out. I had initially thought its a different leech to the other 2, or maybe a worm. Posted 7 years ago
