Black Clearwing butterfly, Tatama National Park, Colombia

I'm not completely sure about the species. Most promising candidate so far is Oleria amalda. It matches the black outline of the wings, orange higlights (somewhat) and the range is correct.

  I agree! The first time I saw one it blew my mind. I even thought it was a singular species, only later did I learn there's many. Colombia alone has dozens of species of them. Posted 7 years ago
