Assassin Bug Nymph - Pselliopus sp.
Undoubtedly the cutest assassin bug I've ever seen. It had a bright orange body and boldly banded legs. It was about 7mm long. Assassin bugs are predatory insects. Unfortunately for this bug, there were no aphids, larvae, nor any other insects on this milkweed plant. However, all the milkweed plants surrounding it, were absolutely covered in oleander aphids, ladybug larvae and pupae, in addition to other caterpillars. So, this nymph didn't display good judgment when choosing its location, but I'll attribute this illogicality to youth...
