Common Yellowthroat (Male) A small songbird with olive-gray upperparts and a bright yellow chest and throat. Males have a black mask and a thin white line that separates the mask from the top of the head. This male had a female with him. She was nearby gathering food and made frequent trips back to their brush pile where he was waiting.  They had made a home in a large brush pile that was in a meadow.<br />
