  1. This looks a lot like Irpex lacteus as well! Have you gotten a confirmation on this ID? Polypores/crusts are so tricky sometimes! Posted 7 years ago, modified 7 years ago
    1. Wow- it does look quite a lot like that one too. Theres so little info on the crusts that grow around here and they are so abundant that usually, unless it's something really distinctive, I'm unsure of them. Posted 7 years ago
      1. Indeed. I'm leaning more towards I. lacteus, but I'm definitely not an expert! A lot of polypores and crusts require microscopy, and I'm still saving up to buy myself a good setup (with a camera attachment) so I can get better IDs! Posted 7 years ago
