Paropsisterna poss. minerva It is my view that this is P. minerva although I cannot confirm this.   I have seen this beetle in Yanac (Victoria) and it likely occurs throughout the arid regions of inland Australia.  P. minerva is similarly small but described from Nth Queensland.   Descriptions of P. minerva from Qld. seem to match but I have not yet seen a specimen from the type location.   The medial eltyral dot is diagnostic for P. minerva but also occurs sometimes on P. laesa which is its closest ally.     This beetle does not always have that dot either.  <br />
