      It will only take a minute, my love Golden orb-web Spider (Nephila Pilipes) - One of the biggest Spiders in the world. I spotted this Spider on the way to Mandalpatty, Corrg. This is was the first time ever I witnessed such a giant spider, and it was quite scary to witness it just hanging down from a tree. Luckily, I got to capture both, Male and Female spiders in one picture!<br /> <br /> Females can grow to a body size of up to 7 cm overall, but their male counterpart grow to a body size of merely 5 mm overall.         The male is much smaller than the female and it is all red. On the photo from the comment above it is on top of the female's abdomen. Posted 8 years ago
