  1. These are modified leaves of the terminal bud either by a fungus or by an insect. Any idea what kind of plant it is?

    1. I'm not sure - not much distinctive about them - no flowers at this point in time, but there aren't too many bushy plants or deciduous trees in this habitat - it's sub alpine meadow, so I can probably find some good candidates - then again... maybe not. A search of the shrubs/trees that typically grow in this type of habitat hasn't yet yielded any with at all similar leaves. Posted 8 years ago, modified 8 years ago
