Red Stick
Was stumped when we first saw this Red coloured Phasmid, the females are mostly either brown or green and only the Male is red.
From the look i.e. typical slender look, this Phasmid is from the family of Phasmatidae, sub-family Lonchodinae, possibly an undescribed species.

It has to be the genus name followed by the species name ;) Posted 8 years ago
As an example of genus names after a person, here are a few :
- Hennemannia, 2016 (from the name Hennemann)
- Channia, 2016 (from the name Chan)
- Conlephasma, 2012 (from the name Conle)
It will be an ultimate honour to have a genus named after me :D Posted 8 years ago
