This is one of the most spectacular looking land crab that I have come across so far.
There are new species of purple/violet coloured crabs from the island of Palawan but those were coastal crabs whereas this one was found in the main island of Luzon, up in the mountain of at least 1,000 masl!

I have shared this picture to other Philippines based forum but didn't get an ID. There were a few who asked for the 'exact' location but I didn't disclosed to them.

      The ones I was referring to is from Palawan Island, Philippines where they newly described 4 new species back in 2012 :
