    Great spot, Joost! Spotted it last week. Did you know that only two main colonies reside in the Netherlands, the rest being very lucky to survive?
    My shot was:
    Right on (9) spot Number 9 is mainly a night-moth, also known to be active at daytime. <br /> <br /> Not the best shot, but I only had a few seconds as I was strawling through a patch of forest grass to meet my parents- in-law at their temporary house to be.<br /> <br /> In the Netherlands only two main geospots have been noticed where these moths survive and enjoy. This one was a stray, as no populace lives in the near vicinity. Some 20 km distant one of the two populaces reside.<br /> <br /> The normal residence of these moths in more in the central and south parts of europe. I was lucky? Amata phegea,Geotagged,Nine-spotted moth,The Netherlands

      I saw yours, I also mentioned that in the other picture of the moth (side view).
      Respect for the ID, it took me some effort to find the name.

The Nine-spotted moth

The nine-spotted moth or yellow belted burnet is a moth in the family Erebidae. The species was first described by Carl Linnaeus in his 1758 10th edition of "Systema Naturae".
