
Right on (9) spot
Number 9 is mainly a night-moth, also known to be active at daytime.
Not the best shot, but I only had a few seconds as I was strawling through a patch of forest grass to meet my parents- in-law at their temporary house to be.
In the Netherlands only two main geospots have been noticed where these moths survive and enjoy. This one was a stray, as no populace lives in the near vicinity. Some 20 km distant one of the two populaces reside.
The normal residence of these moths in more in the central and south parts of europe. I was lucky?
The nine-spotted moth or yellow belted burnet is a moth in the family Erebidae. The species was first described by Carl Linnaeus in his 1758 10th edition of "Systema Naturae".
