    1. The description by Blackburn is 100 years ago. Blackburn type material is in the Adelaide museum but in no other collection that I know of. The difficulty was to decide if it is different from Paropsisterna atalanta and I cannot do a dissection on the female specimen. They are clearly closely related.

      Paropsisterna atalanta A pale beetle associated with heathland and alpine, possibly snowgum defines it.  It is structurally similar to atalanta and shares the same habitat types.  It is much more scarce.  Possibly it is interstitialis but the original description is far to brief to be useful. Australia,Geotagged,Paropsisterna,Paropsisterna atalanta,Summer
