    Sorry, ran out of time to investigate further. Not sure if this is in S. America but it's a start. Nasty bites these sac spiders!!!

    1. Not just a start, visually your suggestion seems like an exact match, or at least extremely similar. Thanks!
      As you say, distribution seems the missing piece of the puzzle. I checked a lot of sources and they are quite consistent in documenting Trachelas tranquillus as an eastern US/Canada species. I feel we're very close.

      1. It would appear that T. traquillus is indeed restricted to E. US and Canada.
        I did find this very interesting site which shows there are 2 species of Trachelas in Colombia, unfortunately no pictures and I can't seem to find any on Google either.
