Beauty This is the same Katydid as previous Spotting, it flew away from the leaf where I first found it and landed on the trail railings, which allows its full beauty to be better appreciated. Geotagged,Katydid,Lichen Katydid,Malaysia,Mulu,Sarawak,Summer,Tettigoniidae Click/tap to enlarge

  1. Something in or close to Olcinia sp., Sathrophyllia sp., Sathrophylliopsis sp, Tegrolcinia sp., Cymatomera sp. or Cymatomerella sp.. Getting to species level will be impossible via internet search, we would need it to be examined by a specialist. I doubt confirming the genus will be possible. But those are the most likely genera within the tribe Cymatomerini, I doubt this is in one of the other included genera in the tribe. Posted one year ago, modified one year ago
