
Stick_Insect at Isalo NP on the hand of the guide
Stick insect "seen", better found at Isalo NP 16.10.2016, Madagascar. As it uses to be extremely camouflaged it was taken on the hand. Head to the left. In nature head is down.
Although no wings (shown) Pink-wing stick insect? belongs to Phasmatodea sp.

Phasmids goes through 5-6 moults from the time they hatch to the time they become adults and quite often, how they look like as nymphs could be totally different when they are adult.
The only possibility to know the ID of a nymph is
- if you see them grows to adults
