Caterpillar of Silkmoth
This was quite an impressive Caterpillar, it was huge and fat, around 11-12cm in length.
Its is mostly green/yellow in colour with 2 rows of spines on its back from the head to the tail and smaller spines on the side of its body. Towards its head is 4 bigger yellow tubercles/spines with black hairy tips.
I was told that this is likely a Caterpillar of a Silkmoth, which are usually very large size Moths, easily 15 cm wing span and they are quite impressive in look too. Would have love to see the adult of this Silkmoth.
