  1. Do you know if this is a house plant or one growing in the wild?
According to Wikipedia, the genus has six species all endemic to Brazil. Yet it's a popular house plant all over the world, there's cultivars and hybrids, making it all a bit complicated :)

  2. This is a garden plant in my back-yard. Posted 8 years ago
  3. Looks like a Christmas Cactus, a Schlumberger that flowers here in UK around Christmas. A very popular houseplant - doesn't like our outside winter weather. Posted 8 years ago
    1. Thanks!
Digging through search on "Christmas Cactus" pulls up all kinds.
Me thinks this is a diversely hybridized plant, pinning down the exact genus might be nigh on impossible.

  4. I agree, it will be very difficult, but it's still one of my favourites! I find the flowers themselves very attractive. Posted 8 years ago
