  1. I'm thinking that this is probably a Russula of some sort, rather than an Amanita. it doesn't have any scales (which can happen, but usually it's because they wash off and this one looks pretty newly emerged). It's a bit hard to see as much of it is still in the ground, but I don't see signs of a ring on the stem , which an Amanita has, but a Russula doesn't. It does have a small depression on the cap, which is a feature more likely to be found on a Russula than an a new Amanita. Posted 8 years ago

    Note that the color difference likely is caused because you export using AdobeRGB, whilst on the web sRGB is a safer option.
