Red-eyed Beauty - Banana Skipper

This is a red-eyed beauty Banana Skipper - Erionota thrax thrax.
I saw a similar one when in Lombok, Indonesia last month :

Not sure if they are the same species. The ID I got from Philippines Lepidoptera group list it as a sub-species - Erionota thrax thrax

    It is hard enough to identify them from a full body view but without the spots it's not serious.

The Banana Skipper

"Erionota thrax" is a butterfly belonging to the family Hesperiidae. It is found from India, through south-eastern Asia to Papua New Guinea. In the north it is found up to southern China. It is an introduced species on various Pacific islands, including the Solomon Islands and Hawaii.
