Stick Insect, Phasmid - Orthomeria pandora This is a Male Phasmid of the species Orthomeria pandora.<br />
He has band of yellow in his wings.<br />

She is mostly all brown in colour except for a lighter band on the second last segment of her abdomen.<br />
Her wings are shortened, thus not capable of flight. The Male of this species has full wings and is capable of short flights.<br />
The genus Orthomeria is under the family of Aschiphasmatidae, where the species from them are known to have glands behind the head and is capable of spraying as a defensive mechanism.  This spray can be irritating to the human eyes, but could probably be more potent against other smaller (compared to humans) predators like frogs, lizards and birds.<br />

Chocolate Stick This is a female Phasmid of the species Orthomeria pandora.<br />
