Bee-Hive Face This is the close-up of the face of a female Phasmid - Hennemannia alveare.<br />
It is a newly described species in May 2016.<br />

It is a newly described species in May 2016 and the genus name is newly erected in honour of Frank Hennemann, a Phasmidologist from Germany.  The species name - alveare refers to the similarity of the appendages above her head, which looks like a bee-hive, relating to the bee-hive hair style of the 1960s.<br />
She is small in size, around 4cm.<br />
