Stick Insect, Phasmid - Orthomeria superba
This is a female Phasmid - Orthomeria superba.
She has green wings with yellow edge and a hint of blue (not seen in this picture). The body is mostly either all black or dark brown in colour.
This species are from the family of Aschiphasmatidae and they are capable of 'spraying' from the glands behind their head, as a defensive mechanism. This 'spray' may cause irritation to the eyes, which is probably their way to thwarts their predators.
