Blue Snail One of the most beautiful land Snail that I have come across, they are small in size, the shell size of this one was around 3 cm. Saw several different ones during this trip, the middle of the shell starts with yellow and it turns to green. The bigger ones like this particular picture will takes on the turquoise blue in the other shell. There is a brown band on the side of the shell.

Have posted this to a Snail/Gastropod forum for ID and the possible genus ID I received was Asperitas.

Have also contacted local (Filipino) University for help with the ID but they were more interested to know of the 'exact' location where I found this Snail.
Picture of a smaller Snail without the blue colour on the shell can be seen here :
1. Absolutely wonderful, Albert! I hope they get back to you with an ID. Posted 9 years ago
    1. Not expecting an ID, been over a year.
And those 'researchers' from the local University wants to know the exact location cos they want to go and get it so that they probably can describe it as it is likely a an undescribed species!
