Olive Sea Snake courting Olive Sea Snake - Aipysurus laevis, are olive in colour with yellowish bands, up to 2 meters length.  Saw this 2 swimming together and around each other, seems like they were courting.<br />

Saw lots of them in my dives in South Lombok or Belongas Bay in particular.  They were also seen quite deep in the water between 30-40 meters depth, searching/hunting for food.  At times when we were holding on to rocks on the reef to wait out the strong current, this Snakes are swimming in between divers and slithering between our legs and hands!<br />

''Aipysurus laevis'' is a species of venomous sea snake found in the Indo-Pacific. Its common names include golden sea snake, olive sea snake, and olive-brown sea snake.

The olive sea snake swims using a paddle-like tail. Appearance wise it has brownish and purple scales along the top of its body whilst its underside is a white color.
