Stick Insect - Phanocles sp

This is a female nymph of Stick Insect from the genus Phanocles. Adult females can probably grow up to between 18 - 20 cm in body length.

  1. This a Phanocles sp female but not Phanocles costaricensis which has a much shorter subgenital plate, no spines on the head but small bumps, no spines on mesothorax but plenty tubercles. Posted 7 years ago
