
Yellow/Golden Goby - Lubricogobius exiguus
This is a small specie, growing up to 3 cm in size. Usually found in pairs.
At a glance, it could be confused with Paragobiodon xanthosoma - Yellow Hairy/Bearded Goby but this Lubricogobius exiguus is completely smooth bodied.
Its genus name is explained :
Lubricogobius: Latin, lubricus = slipperiness, smoothness + Latin, gobius = gudgeon
