
Pinnate Batfish - Platax pinnatus
This is the 'teenage' phase of Pinnate Batfish - Platax pinnatus. During the juvenile phase, it is completely black in colour with only the orange margins. With the 'teenage' phase, the silver band is showing on the body although the fins are still very long. At adulthood, they loose the orange margins with shorter fins and the shape of the body is more roundish.
