Splendid Red Skinhead ( Dermocybe splendida) These mushrooms were amazing - the red colour especially on the gill surface was stunning. The caps had a dark centre but the margins still were a vivid red.  Stems were a yellowish orange and a clear red near the cap.<br />

An orange to red Cortinariaceae family macrofunus found in southern parts of Australia and associated with eucalyptus.
