    1. Hah hopefully the former! Many of the bears here were rescued from captive situations so unfortunately they are quite habituated with people. We were not allowed anywhere near them and this was taken from at height on a walkway. Posted 9 years ago

Sun Bears on Borneo (Helarctos malayanus euryspilus) are sufficiently different from those on the Asian mainland and Sumatra, representing the typical form (H. m. malayanus), as to warrant subspecific differentiation (Meijaard 2004)
